Southern Cherry Cobbler Bars

Ingredients:
- 1 cup of all-purpose flour
- 1 cup of granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup of unsalted butter, melted
- 1 can (21 ounces) of cherry pie filling
- 1/2 teaspoon of almond extract
- 1/4 teaspoon of salt
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease a 9×9-inch baking dish.
- In a medium bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, and melted butter until crumbly.
- Press half of the mixture into the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
- In another bowl, mix together the cherry pie filling, almond extract, and salt. Spread over the crust in the baking dish.
- Sprinkle the remaining crumb mixture over the cherry filling.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
- Let cool before cutting into bars and serving.
