Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup of granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup of unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 can (21 ounces) of cherry pie filling
  • 1/2 teaspoon of almond extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon of salt

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease a 9×9-inch baking dish.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, and melted butter until crumbly.
  3. Press half of the mixture into the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
  4. In another bowl, mix together the cherry pie filling, almond extract, and salt. Spread over the crust in the baking dish.
  5. Sprinkle the remaining crumb mixture over the cherry filling.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
  7. Let cool before cutting into bars and serving.
