Ingredients:

  • 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp cloves
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1/4 cup water

Streusel Topping:

  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp cold butter, cubed

Instructions:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves.
  • In a separate bowl, beat together oil, eggs, sugar, pumpkin puree, and water until well combined.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  • Pour batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  • In a small bowl, combine flour, sugar, brown sugar, and cinnamon for the streusel topping. Cut in the butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  • Sprinkle streusel over the batter in the loaf pan.
  • Bake for 60-70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.
